Why Asto.

Asto is Latin — adsto, “I stand by.” That is the job. A business owner should not have to be at the desk, on the phone and over the calendar to keep the business running. The software should stand by for them.

Most business software is one of two things: a clever tool that does not talk to the others, or an enormous system built for a company a hundred times larger. Asto is built to be the third thing — a family of plain tools that share one account and one record, priced so a two-person shop can afford them, and built well enough that a two-hundred-person one would choose them.

The ambition is not modest. We intend Asto to be the software company a business runs on — the account it opens on day one and never has a reason to leave — for every business, for a very long time.

What we hold to.

  • Plain words.A clock is a clock. A calendar is a calendar. We name things by what they do.
  • Honest kinds.We tell you which tools are run by AI and which are not, on the price list and in the product.
  • Your data stays yours.The AI tools run on your own key; you pay the company that makes the AI directly, and Asto never marks it up.
  • No contract.Cancel any time. What you paid for stays on through the period you paid for.

Asto was founded in 2026 by Benjamin Price. It is built and operated by Nerd Systems in Houston, Texas, in business since 2001.
